Housing rights have become a major focus in the field of economic and social human rights, particularly in Mauritius.

Mr. Rambassun Sewpal trained and practiced as an Architect in Mauritius and overseas, and worked for the Ministry of Housing and Lands under the Service to Mauritius Programme as an Architect/Client Adviser focusing on the development of housing typologies for new subsidized housing projects based on the concepts of adaptability and flexibility.
